NFC West Update: 49ers Name John Lynch GM 

The San Francisco 49ers' search for their 11th general manager in franchise history came to an end yesterday, with the team announcing the position has been awarded to former NFL safety John Lynch. 

The Pro Football Hall of Fame nominee Lynch spent the last eight years as color analyst for FOX Sports after 15 pro years as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Denver Broncos. 

Here's a quick look at what else is going on around the NFC West division:
