!

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Thursday, Jan. 22 - about your Seattle Seahawks:

Super Bowl Matchup Leads To Bet Between Superheroes

After this past Sunday's conference title games, Lake Stevens, Wash. native, Seahawks super-fan, and actor Chris Pratt, who played Star-Lord in the hit movie *Guardians of the Galaxy *got into a fun Twitter exchange with fellow actor Chris Evans, a fan of the New England Patriots who plays Captain America in the Marvel movies of the same name.

The initial social media back-and-forth between the two on-screen superheroes led to a bet between their Super Bowl-bound teams.

A Seahawks win will bring Evans (Captain America) to the Pacific Northwest for a visit at Seattle Children's Hospital, while a Patriots win will bring Pratt (Star-Lord) to Christopher's Haven, a Boston-based non-profit that supports the families of children undergoing treatment for cancer.

Seattle-Natives Rock Halftime Of NFC Championship

In case you missed it, multi-platinum rock band Alice in Chains performed at halftime of the NFC Championship Game. You can check out the full video of their performance in the video embedded above.

From The Quarterback

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson joined 710 ESPN Seattle this morning for a conversation with "Brock and Salk." Wilson talked about the team's NFC Championship win over the Green Bay Packers and how Seattle is preparing for Super Bowl XLIX. The full audio file is embedded above.

More From Around The Web

Here at Seahawks.com, Clare Farnsworth says the Seahawks are fully expecting cornerback Richard Sherman (elbow) and free safety Earl Thomas (shoulder) to play in Super Bowl XLIX and leads his recap of Wednesday's events in Hawkville by detailing what the "lion" Kam Chancellor means to the rest of the "wild dogs" in the Seattle secondary.

I share six things we learned from Wednesday's press conferences with Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and cornerback Richard Sherman.

Simply Measured's Kevin Shively reviews this past Sunday's NFC Championship win over the Packers from a social media perspective.

John Boyle at the Everett Herald says the Seahawks continue to use doubt as motivation, even though they're the defending Super Bowl champs.

And thanks to Seahawks punter Jon Ryan, 12s are alive and well in Canada.
