Thursday Round-Up: Marshawn Lynch Makes List Of NFL's Most-Indispensable Offensive Players

A daily link round-up of what's "out there" about your Seattle Seahawks

!

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Thursday, June 11 - about your Seattle Seahawks:

Marshawn Lynch One Of NFL's Most-Indispensable Offensive Players

Adam Schein at NFL.com shared his list of the League's nine most-indispensable defensive players earlier this week, ranks that included Seahawks free safety Earl Thomas.

Now, Schein has turned his attention to the offensive side of the football, naming the League's nine most-indispensable offensive players, ranks that include Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch.

On Lynch, Schein writes, "Yes, Seattle has a fantastic defense and a young quarterback (Russell Wilson) who has everything you want at the position. But could you actually imagine the Seahawks being dominant sans Lynch? 'Beast Mode' has been the definitive hammer in Seattle's rise under Pete Carroll, averaging 1,339 yards and 12 touchdowns over the past four seasons."

In related news on No. 24, Will Brinson at CBSSports.com lists five reasons why he thinks Lynch will be better than Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson in 2015, leading with Lynch's consistent production over the past four seasons in Seattle.

But on the flip side, Bill Barnwell at Grantland.com argues that Lynch will have his work cut out for him this upcoming season when taking into account the changes to Seattle's starting offensive line.

Three Seahawks Assistants In 'The Next 32'

With the help of 24 'respected football minds' around the League, Robert Klemko at TheMMQB.com has put together a list of 32 individuals most likely to become NFL head coaches by the 2016 season and beyond.

Three current Seahawks assistants appear on TheMMQB.com's ranks - offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell (No. 14), assistant head coach/offensive line coach Tom Cable (No. 23), and defensive coordinator Kris Richard (No. 29).

Bevell and Cable, who have been with the Seahawks since 2011, are listed in the second tier of NFL assistants currently "building a case" for head coaching gigs. The freshly-promoted Richard, the next-man-up in Seattle after the team's two previous defensive coordinators accepted head coaching jobs (Gus Bradley, Jaguars; Dan Quinn, Falcons), is listed in the third tier of NFL assistants who still have "something to prove."

With three names in the mix, Seattle leads the League in potential head coaches according to TheMMQB.com's poll.

Kam Chancellor Named To NFL Network's Top 100

Kam Chancellor became the third Seahawk to be unveiled on NFL Network's countdown of the Top 100 Players of 2015. The Seattle strong safety appeared at No. 41 last night, up 24 spots from his No. 65 ranking a year ago.

Tweet Of The Day

Today's "Tweet of the Day" comes from Seahawks owner Paul Allen, who shares a photo depicting the new schedule poster on display at Seattle's CenturyLink Field.

The poster, featuring strong safety Kam Chancellor and linebacker Bobby Wagner is now available (in much smaller form) at the Seahawks Pro Shop.
