Wilson Takes Most Valued Athlete In Social Award 

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was listed as GeekWire’s Most Valued Athlete in Social Media for the second year in a row. Athletes were ranked "using a proprietary algorithm that evaluates all of their social activity throughout the past year." The site looks at reach (fans, followers, impressions, etc.), engagement (likes, shares, retweets, etc.) and conversation (positive and negative mentions) from athletes. 

Six of the top-10 athletes are NFL players, including Wilson's teammate, cornerback Richard Sherman. Here's how the list panned out:

Richard Sherman

Wilson has 2,871,821 followers on Twitter and roughly 2.8 million on Instagram.
