Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson Voted Air Player of the Week at NFL.com

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has been voted Air Player of the Week at NFL.com for his 345-yard passing, five-touchdown performance in a Week 12 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who was named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in this past Sunday's 39-30 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, has also been named Air Player of the Week by way of fan vote at NFL.com.

Wilson threw for a regular-season career-high 345 yards and a career-high five touchdowns against the Steelers, completing 21-of-30 passes (70 percent) for a 147.9 quarterback rating, the second-best rating of his career. More ballots were cast in Wilson's favor than that of Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, the two other players up for Air Player of the Week.

On top of the player award, a $2,000 donation will be made in Wilson's name to the American Red Cross chapter in Seattle. According to the NFL, the funding is used "to help assist the American Red Cross in its efforts to provide relief and health services to Americans nationwide."

The Seahawks finished out their three-week home stand with a thrilling 39-30 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and team photographer Rod Mar documented the excitement from pregame to postgame in this week's photo essay.
