Seahawks Wide Receiver Ricardo Lockette Released From Hospital Following Neck Surgery

In a post on his Instagram account, Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette informs 12s he has been released from the hospital following surgery to stabilize ligament damage in his neck.

Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette has been released from Dallas' Baylor Medical Center following surgery he underwent this past Monday to stabilize ligament damage in his neck.

"Thanks for all the support," Lockette captioned in a photo on his Instagram account. "I've just been released from the hospital and the road to recovery has started!!! God did it #seahawks #rockette"

Lockette's surgery came after a hit he suffered in Seattle's Week 8 win over the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday that left him concussed and lying motionless on the AT&T Stadium turf.

Earlier Thursday in a conversation with 710 ESPN Seattle's "Justin and Gee" show, Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin provided an encouraging update on Lockette's situation, sharing that the fifth-year pro is walking, able to move his head around, and in "good spirits" after the operation.

Lockette's 2015 season will end early as a result of the surgery and his long-term football prognosis is yet to be determined.
