Seahawks Wednesday Practice Report: Linebacker Mike Morgan Ruled Out at Green Bay Packers

Injury updates from the Seahawks and Packers following Wednesday's practices.

The Seahawks are off the field following a "Competition Wednesday" practice at Renton's Virginia Mason Athletic Center and with that comes the first practice report of Week 2.

For Seattle, linebacker Mike Morgan (hamstring), who was injured in the Seahawks' third preseason game and missed the team's Week 1 contest against the St. Louis Rams, has already been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. Running back Marshawn Lynch (not injury related) received his usual day off to rest to start the week of practice. Cornerback Tharold Simon (toe), who was injured in practice late last week and missed the regular-season opener as a result, missed Wednesday's practice but Pete Carroll was hopeful Simon would be back to work on Thursday. And fullback Will Tukuafu (foot), linebacker Bobby Wagner (ankle), and defensive end Michael Bennett participated in limited fashion on Wednesday.

For Green Bay, starting safety Morgan Burnett (calf) returned to practice in limited fashion on Wednesday for the first time since the start of the regular season. In related news, the Packers placed starting linebacker Sam Barrington (foot) on injured reserve on Tuesday. Barrington got hurt in the Packers' Week 1 win over the Chicago Bears.
