When defensive tackle Landon Cohen quoted one of the world's all-time great musicians on his second day with the Seahawks, he became the obvious choice for this week's pregame playlist.

The 6-foot-1, 290-pound Cohen, who was signed to Seattle's 53-man active roster one day before Jordan Hill (calf) was placed on injured reserve earlier this week, referenced Jamaican reggae artist Bob Marley's "Ooh-wee, come what may" lyric when asked about his role with his new club. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said the sixth-year pro could provide gameday depth behind Demarcus Dobbs, who's expected to fill in for the injured Hill.

"Landon was a very active player," Carroll said on Tuesday. "We had our eye on him. We've had him in earlier in the year when we had potential opportunities to get him on the roster. So because of his activity he's similar to the way Jordan played and so we saw that connection.

"He will get a chance. We will see how he does."

Given his response in his initial meeting with the media, it should come as no surprise to learn that Cohen incorporates Marley into his pregame ritual.

For the past six years, Cohen said he's listened to Marley's "Redemption Song" before every game he's played.

"I just like what it's all about," Cohen said of Marley's solo acoustic recording.

Below, take a listen to Cohen's traditional track as the Seahawks ready to face the Carolina Panthers in a divisional-round playoff game. Kickoff is set for 5:15 p.m. PT on Saturday, Jan. 10 from Seattle's CenturyLink Field.
