Seahawks Unveil Toyota Fan Deck Expansion At CenturyLink Field

The section adds 1,000 new seats to CenturyLink Field's south end zone.

Ahead of Friday's preseason opener against the Denver Broncos, the Seahawks unveiled their brand-new seating section at CenturyLink Field - the Toyota Fan Deck.

Team president Peter McLoughlin was joined by Kerry Sawyer, President and General Manager of Toyota of Puyallup, and select Toyota Fan Deck season-ticket holders for an up-close and personal look at the newly-constructed seats.

"Our fans deserve it," McLoughlin said. "We've got the best fans in the NFL, the 12s, and such demand for our tickets right now, so to be able to put 1,000 new seats in the building, we're glad to do it. [Seahawks owner] Paul Allen was behind this and in front of this every step of the way. We've got a great owner."

The project, which the club announced this past February, added 1,000 seats to the upper concourse in the south end zone. That means that when exhibition play kicks off at 7 p.m. PT tomorrow, even more 12s will get to enjoy the Seahawks' unique gameday atmosphere that has helped power the team to a 26-2 home record the past three seasons, including back-to-back NFC Championships and trips to the Super Bowl the past two years.

On top of the additional seats, a large portion of which went to season-ticket holders with others available on a single-game basis, the Toyota Fan Deck features a partially covered open-air viewing and gathering area. Multiple televisions and eight-foot long fireplaces give the space a club-like feel while maintaining solid views of the playing field. The Toyota Fan Deck also brings an enhanced 12 Flag raising experience to the Seahawks' pregame festivities, with the new flag measuring nearly three-times larger than its predecessor and now flying high atop a new 12 Flag Pavilion.

"I feel that Toyota's brand and the Seahawks were perfectly aligned," said Sawyer. "We both are winners and we both want to provide the best customer and fan experience that we can. We're really excited about this partnership."

The Seahawks have sold out 105 straight regular season games and broke their CenturyLink Field attendance record five times during the 2014 season. The new seats in the Toyota Fan Deck push the stadium's capacity to 68,000, ensuring the team's record-setting trend will continue as the 2015 season gets underway.
