Seahawks Trade RB Christine Michael to Dallas Cowboys, Sign Seven to Practice Squad

Seattle receives a 2016 conditional draft pick in return.

The Seahawks sent running back Christine Michael to the Dallas Cowboys Sunday, receiving a conditional 2016 draft pick as compensation.

Michael, the 62nd overall pick in the 2013 draft, was Seattle's first pick that year, but through two seasons he was behind Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin on the depth chart, and appeared in only 14 games, rushing 52 times for 254 yards.

The trade comes a day after Turbin was placed on injured reserve, leaving the Seahawks with only two running backs currently on the roster—Lynch and Thomas Rawls, who made the roster as an undrafted rookie after an impressive showing in training camp and the preseason.

In addition to the trade, the following seven players were added to the Seahawks practice squad. Teams can establish 10-man practice squads, so three spots still remain open.
