Seahawks Sign Linebacker Barkevious Mingo

The Seahawks added linebacker and pass-rush depth, signing former first-round pick Barkevious Mingo.

The Seahawks made their first addition in free agency following the start of the new league year, signing linebacker Barkevious Mingo.

Mingo, who was the No. 6 overall pick out of LSU in 2013, spent three seasons in Cleveland before being traded to New England, where he was part of the team that won Super Bowl LI. Mingo spent last season with the Indianapolis Colts.

Over the course of five seasons, Mingo has proven to be durable, missing just two games. In his 78 games played, Mingo has 166 total tackles, 9.0 sacks, 13 passes defensed, one interception and three forced fumbles. Mingo has played both defensive end and linebacker during his career, meaning he could be an option to both play strongside linebacker and be a situational pass rusher.

Take a look back at photos of Barkevious Mingo's first five seasons in the NFL as the linebacker signs a free-agent deal with the Seattle Seahawks.
