The Seahawks made a roster move at linebacker on Wednesday, signing Austin Calitro, a player who briefly spent time on Seattle's practice squad last season. Linebacker Dadi Nicolas was waived to make room on the 90-man roster.
Calitro, who came into the league as an undrafted free agent out of Villanova in 2017, spent two weeks on Seattle's practice squad last September. He also spent time with the New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, and most recently the Cleveland Browns, where he finished the year on the practice squad before being signed to a future contract in January.
Nicolas, a sixth-round pick in 2016, appeared in 11 games with Kansas City as a rookie, then missed the 2017 season with a patellar tendon injury. Nicolas signed with Seattle last month after being released by the Chiefs.
