Seahawks Executive VP/General Manager John Schneider joined 'Voice of the Seahawks' Steve Raible for an on-field interview ahead of Sunday's Week 14 matchup between the Seahawks and Ravens at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium.

The full audio file is embedded for you above and a couple conversation highlights are laid out for you below.

(On the Ravens starting third-stringer Jimmy Clausen at quarterback...) "Well, I mean, you lose Joe Flacco and then Matt Schaub has started a lot of games in this League, so obviously that's a tough thing for them, but obviously, like I said, they've done a very good job of, especially here, personnel wise, and when we got to Seattle we wanted to model ourselves like these guys and the Pittsburgh Steelers as we were chasing the San Francisco 49ers to have a tough, smart-minded, physical football team. So these guys, [Ravens general manager] Ozzie Newsome and his group, [Ravens assistant general manager] Eric DeCasto, they've always done a really good job of surrounding the coaches with really good talent."

(On how valuable DeShawn Shead has been this season...) "With us it always starts with smart, tough, and reliable and he's been that since he stepped in the building day one for the coaching staff, so they've done a good job bringing him along. If anything, he's proved to be such a utility guy, it's been hard for him to find a home, and I think this year you're seeing, with [Byron Maxwell] being gone and Kam [Chancellor] holding out he had to play safety, he's still kind of moving between safety and corner, and still trying to find a niche for himself, and really throughout the season he's stuck with it, has been the same guy the whole time we've been here. Just a steady guy, and like I said, he's a smart, tough, and reliable guy. He's just done a really nice job for himself."

The team suited up for their penultimate road business trip of the regular season, taking on the Balitmore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium for the Week 14 matchup.
