In Thursday night's loss to the Broncos, the Seahawks found themselves unable to score a touchdown through three quarters. It wasn't until the fourth quarter, while down 14-3, when the Seahawks were finally able to build some momentum on offense during an 11-play, 67-yard touchdowns drive. Following a successful two-point conversion after George Holani's rushing score, the Seahawks put themselves within reach to either tie the game or take the lead.

With under one minute left in regulation, Seattle orchestrated a crucial eight-play, 38-yard drive that saw Sam Darnold connect with three different receivers, positioning Jason Myers to kick a 34-yard field goal to tie up the game and effectively send it into overtime.

In a game that was filled with what receiver Cooper Kupp called, “self-inflicted” mistakes, the Seahawks having a chance to win in overtime is in part thanks to the effort by Seattle's defense, who held the Broncos to just 30 yards and just two first downs in the entire second half.

"I am really, really proud of our guys," head coach Mike Macdonald said. "Really, just the resolve. I think they executed a really high level for what we were asking them to do today. It's a really good offense, especially in the second half. Their offense, they did a great job. They played together, and our coaches did a great job of finding some solutions there after those two drives. So, it was a great second half by those guys."
