Seahawks Announce Route For Summer 12 Tour

Team asks fans to recommend stops along tour route utilizing #12Tour via social media.

RENTON, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks announced today the dates and routes for this summer's 12 Tour, presented by Safeway.  The 12 Tour will feature Seahawks players, Legends, members of the Sea Gals, Blue Thunder and team mascot Blitz traveling in a Seahawks wrapped motor coach the weekends of June 24-26 and July 15-17.

Seahawks rookie linemen, Germain Ifedi and Rees Odiambo, will participate in the first leg.

"I'm looking forward to meeting the 12s and discovering the great beauty of Washington State," said Ifedi.

The team will depart on Friday, June 24 and travel east with one confirmed stop in Leavenworth on route to Spokane to participate in Spokane Hoopfest activities.  The team will spend Saturday, June 25 in and around Spokane and head west on Sunday, June 26 along I-90 with one confirmed stop in Ellensburg.

This year the team is seeking advice from fans on locations and even fans to visit along the tour route utilizing the hashtag #12Tour.  In some cases the team will confirm ahead of time and in other instances will arrive completely unannounced.

"The 12s are why we are here," said Odiambo.  "We need your help to direct us to unique tourist attractions, restaurants or even die-hard fans we can visit along the way."

A new feature of this year's tour will be surprise stops at Safeway store locations throughout the tour.

"We know firsthand that there are very passionate 12s in every hill and valley of the state because they fill our stores to get their favorite football food before the games," said Safeway's Seattle Division President Dan Valenzuela.  "We are excited to support the 12 Tour and thrilled to surprise some of our customers when the Seahawks bus visits us during the tour."

On Friday, July 15 the team will travel south on route to Portland.   The team will spend Saturday, July 16 in the Portland area and head north on Sunday, July 17 with one confirmed stop in Tacoma.

Fans are encouraged to honk if they see the 12 Tour bus and to follow along via Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter with hashtag #12Tour.
