Russell Wilson Voted Air Player of the Week at

By way of fan vote at, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has been named Air Player of the Week for his performance against the Houston Texans.

The weekly honors continue to pile up for Russell Wilson. The Seahawks quarterback who was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week yesterday has now been tabbed Air Player of the Week by way of fan vote at for his performance in this past Sunday's 41-38 win over the Texans. 

Wilson passed for a franchise-record 452 yards against Houston. He completed 26 of his 41 attempts (63.4 percent), tossed four touchdowns, and led the 23rd game-winning drive of his career while posting a passer rating of 123.2 

"I think it just means that the Seahawks won," Wilson said Thursday when asked what the player of the week-type honors mean to him. "Really that's it. We want to play at a high level every week. That's all we have and that's all that matters."

For the Air Player of the Week award, Wilson edged out Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson and Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. A $2,000 donation will be made in his name to the USO, which will be used to support programs that keep service members connected to family, home and country as they depart the military and re-enter civilian life. 

Wilson is also up for Clutch Performer of the Week at, and voting for that weekly honor is still open. You can cast a ballot through 12 p.m. PT on Friday, November 3.
