Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is still waiting to receive a response from rapper Kanye West after sending the hip-hop legend a pair of his signature Nike Air Monarchs last week. Kanye, who recently returned to Twitter in a big way to say the least, originally caught Carroll's attention when he tweeted a pair of his Adidas sneakers he plans to launch in the near future.

Afterwards, Carroll followed up by personally sending Yeezy a pair of his Air Monarchs in the mail:

"I don't know, I haven't heard anything from Yeezy yet so I'm kind of waiting to get a little word back," Carroll jokingly said Monday at his pre-draft press conference. "He went kind of underground on me a little bit here ..."

We'll see if Kanye responds in the coming days via Twitter — which is unlikely — or maybe he'll respond with a mention of Carroll on his upcoming album that's set to release June 1 — which is also unlikely.
