The Seahawks first ever draft pick from 1976, Steve Niehaus rose the 12 Flag for the Preseason Week 1 game against the Broncos. 

1976:Steve Niehaus becomes the Seahawks' initial first-round draft choice, as the expansion team uses the second overall pick on the defensive lineman from Notre Dame. Niehaus would produce 8.5 sacks in his first season and was named NFC defensive rookie of the year. But injuries would limit him to 36 games and 20 starts in three seasons with the team.
