On This Date: Scott Fitterer Named Area Scout

Scott Fitterer is named an area scout. He was promoted to director of college scouting in 2010 and co-director of player personnel in 2015. Fitterer has been involved in the NFL Drafts that have reshaped the Seahawks' roster -- beginning with the selections of All-Pro free safety Earl Thomas, Pro Bowl-caliber left tackle Russell Okung and All-Pro strong safety Kam Chancellor in 2010; All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman, linebackers K.J. Wright and Malcolm Smith and cornerback Byron Maxwell in 2011; and Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson, middle linebacker Bobby Wagner, defensive end Bruce Irvin, guard J.R. Sweezy and cornerback Jeremy Lane in 2012.
