Arizona won its seventh straight game to maintain a three-game lead in the division over the Seahawks (8-5), securing a 23-20 home win over the Minnesota Vikings.

What Happened

Linebacker Dwight Freeney helped the Cardinals clinch a playoff spot when he stripped the ball from Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater with five seconds remaining, erasing any chance of a last-second field goal for Minnesota as defensive lineman Calais Campbell recovered the loose football for Arizona ... Quarterback Carson Palmer threw for 310 yards and two touchdowns in the win, one each to wide receivers Michael Floyd and John Brown, who finished the game with 102 and 78 receiving yards respectively ... Rookie running back David Johnson carried 19 times for 92 yards and is in competition with Seattle wideout Tyler Lockett for Rookie of the Week honors at NFL.com ... Defensive back Tyrann Mathieu led Arizona with 11 total tackles.

St. Louis Rams (5-8)

The Rams snapped a five-game losing streak with a 21-14 home win over Detroit Lions (4-9).

What Happened

Running back Todd Gurley rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns, an effort that also has him up against the Seahawks' Lockett for Rookie of the Week at NFL.com ... Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson returned an interception 58 yards for a touchdown and helped hold Lions wideout Calvin Johnson to one catch for 16 yards ... St. Louis quarterback Case Keenum returned to the starting lineup and completed 14-of-22 passes for 124 yards and an interception ... Defensive tackle Aaron Donald added 3.0 sacks of Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford, upping his 2015 sack total to 11.0 (5th NFL).

St. Louis plays on Thursday Night Football this week, hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-7) at the Edward Jones Dome.


San Francisco 49ers (4-9)

The Result

The 49ers suffered a 24-10 setback against the Cleveland Browns (3-10), who the Seahawks host this Sunday at CenturyLink Field. 

What Happened

San Francisco had trouble protecting quarterback Blaine Gabbert, who was sacked nine times while completing 18-of-28 passes for 194 yards and a touchdown ... The 49ers lone touchdown came late in the game, when Gabbert found wide receiver Jerome Simpson from six yards out with less than two minutes to play ... Veteran kicker Phil Dawson added a 44-yard field goal in his return to Cleveland, where he played for 14 seasons.

The Niners travel to Cincinnati for a Week 15 game against the Bengals (10-3).
