Monday Round-Up: Seahawks Move Back Into No. 2 Seed In NFC Conference

The Seahawks moved back into the No. 2 seed in the NFC conference thanks to the New York Giants defeating the Detroit Lions in Week 15.

Good afternoon, 12s.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today — Monday, December 19 — about your Seattle Seahawks:

Seahawks Re-Claim No. 2 Playoff Seed

Following Week 15's slate of NFL action, the Seahawks moved back into the No. 2 seed in the NFC conference thanks to the New York Giants (10-4) defeating the Detroit Lions (9-5) 17-6.

At 9-4-1, the Seahawks — who already clinched the NFC West division — can take the No. 2 seed for good if they win their remaining two games, which come against divisional opponents Arizona (this Saturday) and San Francisco. The Seahawks are no longer eligible for the top seed in the conference with the Dallas Cowboys winning last night, but they can still earn a first-round bye and a home playoff game with the second seed.
