Good afternoon, 12s.
Here's a look at what's "out there" for today — Monday, March 13 — about your Seattle Seahawks:
Michael Bennett Appears On OTL
Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett pledged last week to donate all of his endorsement earnings in 2017 and a portion of his jersey sales to help women of color and minority neighborhoods. Bennett, who was inspired to take the initiative after Chance the Rapper recently donated $1 million to Chicago Public Schools, appeared on ESPN's Outside The Lines this morning to further spread his message and detailed the next steps he plans to take in the process.
"People are loving it," Bennett said when asked about the reaction to his decision. "I think this is what people want to see athletes do. They want to see athletes use their platforms to create change and give kids opportunities. Not just to
dribble a ball or even catch a ball, but to actually create the ball. And that's where we're heading."
