Monday Round-Up: Media React To Seattle Seahawks 41-38 Win Over The Houston Texans

A recap of media reaction following the Seahawks' epic win over the Texans in Week 8.

Good afternoon, 12s.

Here's a look at what's out there for today — Monday, October 30 — about your Seattle Seahawks following their thrilling 41-38 victory over the Houston Texans in Week 8.

What They're Saying: Seahawks 41, Texans 38

Seattle's offense came up big yesterday vs. the Texans.

Seahawks safety Earl Thomas made Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson pay after an early mistake.

Jimmy Graham was pretty surprised Houston's secondary left him that open on his game-winning touchdown.

Thomas was the only player to leave the game with an injury.

Highlights from the game can be found here.

Roger Sherman of The Ringer tabbed yesterday's Seahawks win as the game of the year.

*The game of the year took place in Seattle on Sunday: The Seahawks won 41-38, but Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson confirmed he's perhaps the most exciting player in the league just a couple of months into his rookie season. *

Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR says Paul Richardson has become a trusted target for Wilson.

Sean Tomlinson of Bleacher Report believes Wilson is ascending into the MVP discussion.

*By pulling his team out of a September slumber, Wilson has vaulted himself into the MVP conversation at midseason. The Seahawks' 1-2 start is becoming a distant memory. In its place is a team that's climbing as it usually does when the intensity rises and the temperature drops later in the season. The Seahawks haven't reached their peak yet, either. *

Peter King led his weekly Monday Morning Quarterback column recapping the game.

*Numbers … meh. The drama of the game, the sheer drama, in such a loud place. Watching Watson, 22, duel Wilson, 28, you wanted it to never end. Couldn't there be overtime? Quintuple overtime? The college overtime? The Buffalo Wild Wings never-ending overtime? *

Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times gave the Seahawks offense high praise in his game grades.

NFL.com's Mike Silver believes Watson is on the verge of reaching Wilson's level as a quarterback.

Danny O'Neil of 710 ESPN Seattle believes the Seahawks showed Sunday they can win a shootout.

Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman had a lot of praise for Watson after his performance.

Finally, ESPN compiled the best sights and sounds from the Week 8 matchup.

Tweet Of The Day

Today's "Tweet of the Day" comes from Seahawks defensive end Dwight Freeney, who had this to say after his first game with the team:
