Monday Round-Up: Media React To Seattle Seahawks 24-10 Win Over Philadelphia Eagles

A recap of media reaction following the Seahawks' 24-10 win over the Eagles in Week 13.

Good afternoon, 12s.

Here's a look at what's out there for today — Monday, December 4 — about your Seattle Seahawks following the team's 24-10 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football:

What They're Saying: Seahawks 24, Eagles 10

Seahawks digital media reporter John Boyle shared his rapid reaction to the game and added thoughts on Seattle's defense, Russell Wilson's performance and more.

The Seahawks offense was really good in the first half against the Eagles.

Seattle's defense showed it can still make life difficult for opposing defenses even without key players.

Wilson talked about the win after the game with NFL Network's LaDainian Tomlinson and Deion Sanders.

Matt Calkins of The Seattle Times says the Seahawks showed the NFL they're still contenders after Sunday's win.

Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times offers his game grades.

Danny O'Neil of 710 ESPN Seattle says that Wilson's case for MVP grew after the win.

Michael-Shawn Dugar of SeattlePI shares eight takeaways from the game, with one of them highlighting Frank Clark's performance:

*Clark had two sacks, three total tackles for loss and a pass defensed. It was Clark's second multi-sack game -- he had two against the Texans this year -- and it came on an emotional night for the third-year defensive end. Painted on the cleats were an of image of Clark's grandmother, one of the last photos taken of her before she passed of bladder cancer. *

*"It was real special, man," Clark said. "Before the game I teared up and cried because I just looking at the cleats, just looking at the picture of my grandmother in one of the last pictures she took. It's heartwarming, more than me being sad, because I know how hard she worked, I know how much she wished she could have been here." *

Danny Heifetz of The Ringer says it's time to start paying more attention to Wilson's season.

Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR took note of Bradley McDougald's performance in primetime:

Playing in place of Kam Chancellor, McDougald had a standout performance against the Eagles Sunday night.

*McDougald was second of the team with 12 tackles and had a tackle for loss and two passes defended. He was vitally important in the running game to help limit the Eagles' second-ranked rushing attack to just 98 yards on 26 carries. *

*Take out Carson Wentz's six rushes and Philadelphia running backs managed just 68 yards on 20 carries. *

McDougald was a big part of that equation.

Jenny Vrentas of The MMQB captured the vibe from Philadelphia's locker room after the loss.

Finally, the Seahawks' late-season run is off to a strong start, writes Lindsay Jones of USA Today.
