Michael Bennett Unveiled On NFL Network's Top 100 Players Of 2015

The Seahawks defensive end appears on the list for the first time.

The Seahawks have their first player on NFL Network's list of the Top 100 Players of 2015.

Defensive end Michael Bennett appeared at No. 90 on tonight's countdown of players ranked No. 90 - 81, a list NFL players established by ranking the League's top talent regardless of position.

For Bennett, whose 7.0 sacks led the Seahawks' No. 1-ranked defense last year, it's his first time making the network's player-driven ranks. After four seasons (2009-12) with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Bennett signed in Seattle ahead of the team's Super Bowl XLVIII championship run, when he led the club with 8.5 sacks in the regular season.

Last year, the Seahawks had five players on NFL Network's Top 100 list.

Cornerback Richard Sherman - the highest rated defensive player in 2014 - came in at No. 7, running back Marshawn Lynch at No. 14, free safety Earl Thomas at No. 17, quarterback Russell Wilson at No. 20, and strong safety Kam Chancellor at No. 65. Tight end Jimmy Graham, who the Seahawks acquired in an offseason trade with the New Orleans Saints, appeared at No. 10 on the list last year.

NFL Network's Top 100 countdown continues next Wednesday at 6 p.m. PT with No. 80 - 71.
