Kirkland, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks have signed defensive end Lawrence Jackson, defensive tackle Red Bryant and fullback Owen Schmitt to multi-year deals, the team announced this morning. Seattle also signed free agent receiver Bryan Gilmore, formerly of the San Francisco 49ers. Jackson was drafted 28th overall in the first round out of USC, Bryant was drafted in the fourth round (121st overall) out of Texas A&M and Schmitt was drafted in the fifth round (163rd overall) out of West Virginia in this year's NFL Draft.
Gilmore entered the league in 2000 as a rookie free agent with Arizona and spent four years with the Cardinals before spending two years each with the Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers. He has 53 career receptions for 794 yards and five touchdowns.
Seattle now has six of its seven draft picks under contract. Second round tight end John Carlson remains unsigned.
