Friday Round-Up: Who's The Seahawks' Most Underrated Player?

A daily link round-up of what's "out there" about the Seattle Seahawks.

Good afternoon, 12s.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Friday, July 8 - about your Seattle Seahawks:

Football Outsiders: Baldwin is Most Underrated Seahawk

In a special to ESPN.com, the staff of Football Outsiders went through each of the NFL's 32 teams to find the most underrated player on each club, using its advanced metrics system to come up with a list of players who they think "should be better known and/or given more credit for their teams' success (or perhaps less blame for their teams' failure)."

For the Seahawks, Football Outsiders' choice was Doug Baldwin, the receiver who recently signed a four-year extension that will keep him in Seattle through the 2020 season.

Here's what the site had to say about Baldwin, who set career highs with 78 catches for 1,069 yards and 14 touchdowns last season:

Twelve receivers made the Pro Bowl last season, and Baldwin was not one of them, despite leading the league in touchdown catches. Baldwin is the only wide receiver to finish first or second in Football Outsiders' DVOA ratings more than once since 2010.
