Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Friday, Feb. 20 - about your Seattle Seahawks:

Cougars QB "Ecstatic" About Combine Opportunity

When Washington State quarterback Connor Halliday broke his leg against the USC Trojans this past November at Pullman's Martin Stadium, he was college football's leader in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and completions per game while operating in head coach Mike Leach's "Air Raid" offense.

He had three games to go in his senior season for the Cougars, but the injury cut his career short, putting his NFL future in doubt.

"22 years of hard work I was 3 (expletive) games away from my dream 3 freakin games away from being drafted and living my dream," Halliday tweeted shortly thereafter.

Despite the injury, Halliday impressed enough through his years on the Palouse to receive an invite to the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine. He won't participate in the event's on-field work on Saturday as he continues his rehab, but is going through meetings with teams and medical evaluations.

"It was just the timing was frustrating," Halliday said on Thursday at Lucas Oil Stadium. "Injuries happen and I've stayed pretty healthy throughout my career. With only three games left in my career it was tough to go down like that. But there's nothing I can do about it but work my butt off to get healthy and try to make a squad."

Halliday, three and a half months removed from surgery, was surprised he received an invite.

"I didn't think I would since I can't do anything here right now," he said. "So super ecstatic about the opportunity."

The record-setting passer is one of three former Cougars on site in Indianapolis this week. He's joined by wide receiver Vince Mayle and defensive lineman Xavier Cooper.

Tweet(s) of the Day

Today's "Tweet(s) of the Day" come from Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and free safety Earl Thomas.

Sherman shares a "Throwback Thursday" photo of himself running the 40-yard dash at the 2011 NFL Combine, while Thomas shows some love for Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch.
