Friday Practice Report: Jeremy Lane Out For Seahawks vs New York Giants

Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants with a groin injury.

The Seattle Seahawks conducted a walk-through on Friday at Renton's Virginia Mason Athletic Center before departing from Seattle to New York.

Three players did not participate in Luke Joeckel, Cliff Avril and Earl Thomas. Joeckel (knee) and Avril (neck) were already ruled out for Sunday's game while Thomas missed practice for personal reasons. Avril was officially placed on injured reserve this morning.

For the second consecutive day, eight Seahawks dealing with injuries were full-gos: Quinton Jefferson (hand), Kam Chancellor (ankle), Richard Sherman (Achilles), C.J. Prosise (ankle), Michael Bennett (heel), Jeremy Lane (groin), Marcus Smith (ankle) and Nazair Jones (knee).  However, despite returning to practice again, Lane is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday.

Update (8:20 a.m. PT, 10/21): The Seahawks downgraded Lane from doubtful to out for Sunday's game. That means rookie Shaquill Griffin is expected to step into the starting cornerback spot opposite Richard Sherman, while Justin Coleman should see snaps at nickel.
