During his playing days, Kam Chancellor set the tone on the field with his intimidating, physical presence. Last weekend ahead of Seattle's divisional round game against the 49ers, Chancellor set the tone by helping hype up the crowd before kickoff.
And on Sunday, Chancellor will be back at Lumen Field again, this time to serve as the Seahawks' honorary captain for the NFC championship game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Chancellor, who spent his entire eight-year NFL career with the Seahawks, was a four-time Pro-Bowler and two-time second-team All-Pro, and was a key leader of the Legion of Boom defenses that helped the Seahawks reach consecutive Super Bowls, winning one, while leading the league in scoring defense for four consecutive seasons.
Chancellor was a three-time captain during his playing career, and twice was voted by his teammates as the team's Steve Largent Award winner.
The Seahawks drafted safety Kam Chancellor in the 5th round of the 2010 NFL Draft and he went on to play eight seasons in Seattle. Chancellor made four Pro Bowls, was named an All-Pro twice and was a member of the Super Bowl XLVIII winning team.
