In Washington, $28 from each specialty plate and renewal goes to local charitable benefit. $21 of that amount will benefit the Seattle Seahawks Charitable Foundation (SSCF) starting this November. SSCF has invested in youth and organizations aimed at making the Pacific Northwest Region a better place for everyone to live since 1995. The remaining $7 supports the Washington State Leadership Board, a trustee agency of the state delivering free youth leadership programs.
12s with the original design that ran from 2014-2025 can still use the plates as they always have. A personalized plate configuration can only be used by one person no matter the plate background so a "12THMAN" plate on the original design would not be available for the new design.

Currently, Seahawks license plates are only available to Washington State residents with a registered vehicle.
