In 2021, The NFL launched its Global Markets Program (formerly known as the International Home Marketing Areas program). The Global Markets Program grants NFL clubs access to international markets for marketing, fan engagement and commercialization activations as part of an important, long-term strategic effort to enable clubs to build their brands globally. The Seahawks were an inaugural member of the program. ​

However, international fan engagement is nothing new to the Seahawks. Before the introduction of the NFL Global Markets Program, the Seahawks have been active in countries such as Canada, United Kingdom (2018 London Game), and more. ​
