The Seahawks signed linebacker Devin Richardson and defensive end Nathan Pickering on Monday, adding a pair of players who took part in rookie minicamp as tryout players earlier this month.
Richardson played at Washington State last season after transferring from Texas, and had a productive one season with the Cougars, recording 62 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack and a forced fumble in 12 games. Richardson, who is from Klein, Texas, began his college career at New Mexico State, earning Freshman All-American honors from the Football Writers Association of America before eventually transferring to Texas, where he spent two seasons.
Pickering, who played at Mississippi State, appeared in 51 games with 30 starts in his college career, recording 124 tackles, 30.0 tackles for loss and 13.0 sacks. Pickering was also named to the 2023 SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
Pickering and Richardson make it three tryout payers to sign following rookie minicamp along with nose tackle Buddha Jones, giving the Seahawks a total of 19 undrafted rookies on the roster.
