John Boyle enters his first season with the Seattle Seahawks as digital media reporter after covering the team the past six seasons for the Everett Herald, first as a beat reporter and later as a columnist. Boyle was on site in New York/New Jersey covering the Seahawks’ Super Bowl XLVIII championship run and followed the Seahawks to Arizona for Super Bowl XLIX this past year.
Prior to his time on the Seahawks beat, Boyle covered the University of Washington Huskies football and men’s basketball teams for two years. He earned his start in journalism covering prep sports for The Seattle Times.
A Seattle-area native and graduate of Seattle University, Boyle has received several awards for his writing, including Society of Professional Journalists’ (SPJ) Pacific Northwest Excellence in Journalism honors in 2009, 2013, and 2014.
Entering his fifth season with the Seahawks, Tony Drovetto spent 2012 & 2013 in the role of Digital Content Coordinator, after working for two seasons as an intern in the club's Media Relations department.
Drovetto contributes written content to Seahawks.com and the Seahawks game day program, in addition to assisting in the management of the team's website and social media pages.
Drovetto, a Pacific Northwest native, earned a degree in Communications & Sport Management from Washington State University.
