Seahawks Waive LB Kache Palacio

The Seahawks opened up a spot on their 53-man roster and added two players to their practice squad.

The Seahawks waived linebacker Kache Palacio Tuesday, freeing up a spot on their 53-man roster.

Palacio, a Washington State University product, was promoted off of the practice squad last week with the Seahawks dealing with injuries at linebacker. Palacio, who spent time on Seattle's practice squad last year and this year, made his NFL regular-season debut in Sunday's loss to the Rams, playing 16 snaps on special teams.

The Seahawks also added two players two their practice squad, safety Alex Carter and defensive end Noble Nwachukwu. Carter, a third-round pick out of Stanford in 2015, spent a week on Seattle's practice squad last month, and has since also spent time on the Chicago Bears practice squad. Carter was drafted as a cornerback by the Lions before eventually converting to safety this offseason.

Nwachukwu, who is 6-foot-1, 268 pounds, is an undrafted rookie out of West Virginia. He signed with the San Francisco 49ers after the draft and spent part of this season on their practice squad.
