Pete Carroll Shares Injury Updates From 30-24 Loss To Jacksonville Jaguars
Following his team’s 30-24 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll shared the following injury updates about his team: Read
- Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner left the game in the second half due to a hamstring injury and did not return. Carroll said the injury was to the same hamstring Wagner’s been dealing with the last few weeks that has limited his practice time. “Same one that he’s had, this was the first time he wasn’t able to finish a game,” Carroll said.
- Running back Mike Davis was ruled probable to return after suffering a rib injury. “He got hit in the ribs,” Carroll said. Davis was effective on the ground for the Seahawks rushing for 66 yards on 15 carries, including a 21-yard run. This is the second consecutive game he’s added a spark to Seattle’s run game. “I thought he looked great,” Carroll said. “I thought he ran like crazy. This is the best rushing defense in the NFL and we had 100 yards at halftime. And Mike was ripping and he did a nice job against these guys. The guys up front did a nice job too — Russell’s yardage was helpful — but I thought Mike looked really good.”
- Wagner’s fellow linebacker, K.J. Wright, left the game with a concussion and was ruled out after the injury. “He had a concussion,” Carroll said. “They were dealing with a concussion.”
Coach Carroll is likely to have more on the injuries to Wagner, Davis and Wright on his morning appearance on 710 ESPN Seattle tomorrow.
