The Seahawks will be missing a five players this week as they prepare for their final preseason game, but all are expected to be ready for Seattle's regular season opener in Green Bay.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Monday that receiver Tyler Lockett, guard Luke Joeckel, linebacker Michael Wilhoite and defensive ends Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril were all away from the team to receive the same Regenokine procedure that linebackers K.J. Wright and D.J. Alexander went through earlier this month.

"We have a few guys who have entered the circle—that's what I'm calling it now instead of the process," Carroll joked, referring to the term he used when describing Wright's and Alexander's absences. "They've entered the circle and they'll be gone this week to do their stuff, then they'll meet us in Oakland… We're doing it to make sure that they're strong going into the start of the season."

One reason the Seahawks are sending five more players out of town for this procedure is that it worked well for Alexander and Wright, the latter of whom missed one preseason game before returning to action last week.

"Our guys that have gone through it have really been positive about it, brought back really good reinforcement thoughts and we're kind of banking on that," Carroll said.

In other, non-Regenokine news, Carroll said defensive end Frank Clark has "a wrist that's bothering him" and was scheduled to see a specialist Monday.

Running back C.J. Prosise (groin) returned to practice Monday, while Thomas Rawls (ankle) will likely return Tuesday. What that means for Thursday's game remains to be seen, Carroll said.

Carroll also provided updates cornerback DeShawn Shead and defensive end Dion Jordan, who are both still recovering from knee injuries.

"They're a long ways from home yet," Carroll said. "They're not right around the corner. But DeShawn has made great progress. The surgery he had to clean something up in the back of his knee really did help, and he has been flying. He's running, he's excited about it—I see him every day, and he's giving me updates. He really feels like he's rolling in the process of getting back, so we know kind of what that timeline's going to be like for him.

"Dion, because he had a little pull coming back, that slowed him down, so he hasn't had a clean return, as has DeShawn. So I can't tell you what his timeline is, but he could jump here soon, so we'll see what happens. But DeShawn is very much on target, and Dion is a little bit more of an unknown than that."

Shead is currently on the physically unable to perform list, while Jordan is on the non-football injury list. If they remain on those lists once the 53-man roster is set this weekend, they will have to miss at least the first six weeks of the season before being eligible to return.
