Pete Carroll Shares Injury Updates From 48-17 Win Over Los Angeles Chargers
Sunday, August 13, 2017 9:05 PM PDT
Following the Seattle Seahawks’ 48-17 victory in their preseason opener against the Los Angeles Chargers, head coach Pete Carroll provided the following injury updates about his players: Read
- Seahawks wide receiver Paul Richardson left the game early with a shoulder injury. Carroll said afterwards that Richardson sustained an AC sprain and his timetable is going to be a bit. “It really was kind of self-inflicted,” Carroll said. “He took off for that ball — it was a great deep ball — and he kind of left his feet to go get it and he landed on his shoulder. He got crunched pretty good.”
- Carroll said safety Jordan Simone injured his ACL and will also miss a chunk of time, though he isn’t sure of the severity of his injury just yet. “He’s had it before in his other leg so he’s kind of aware of it and it looks like it’s going to be a while,” Carroll said.
- Wide receiver Doug Baldwin was inactive for Sunday’s game but Carroll thinks Baldwin will come back strong in the next couple of days. “He felt good going in (heading into the game), it wasn’t a severe injury but it was sore enough that we wanted to leave him home and treat him and all that,” Carroll said.
- Rookie Amara Darboh was inactive after injuring his chest Friday and Carroll said he wasn’t ready to play after going through pregame warmups. “He tried to play tonight and he couldn’t get it done.”
