Seahawks Offseason Workout Program Dates Announced

The Seahawks have announced dates for their nine-week voluntary offseason program.

The NFL announced offseason workout program dates for each of the League's 32 teams on Friday, and the first day of the Seattle Seahawks' training schedule is set for April 18.

Each team's official nine-week offseason program is entirely voluntary and will be conducted in three separate phases.

According to the NFL's release, Phase One "consists of the first two weeks of the program with activities limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation only." Phase Two "consists of the next three weeks of the program. On-field workouts may include individual player instruction and drills as well as team practice conducted on a 'separates' basis. No live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills are permitted." And Phase Three "consists of the next four weeks of the program. Teams may conduct a total of 10 days of organized team practice activity, or 'OTAs'. No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted."

The Seahawks' OTAs, an acronym for Organized Team Activities, will be held May 23-24, May 26, May 31, June 1, June 3, June 6-7, and June 9. Following OTAs, Seattle will hold a three-day mandatory minicamp, set for June 14-16. The Seahawks are also expected to hold one post-NFL Draft rookie minicamp that may come on either the first or second weekend after the draft, which runs April 28-30 in Chicago.

Below are the official dates of the Seahawks offseason workout program. All sessions are closed to the public.
