Seahawks Sign Linebacker Arthur Brown
During his end-of-season press conference, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll pointed to linebacker as a position where he wanted to see his team add depth this offseason, and on Friday they did just that, signing former Ravens, Jaguars and Jets linebacker Arthur Brown.
Brown, 26, spent his first three seasons with the Ravens after be selected in the second round of the 2013 draft, then spent time with both the Jaguars and Jets last season. The 6-foot, 240-pound Brown has appeared in 48 games during his career, recording 20 total tackles, half a sack and one forced fumble.
In addition to providing depth at linebacker, Brown could also help on special teams having played a big role in that phase of the game in his previous stops. The Seahawks lost reserve linebacker and special teams standout Brock Coyle in free agency this offseason.Read
