Local Washington Prospects Invited To NFL Combine
A crop of NFL prospects in the state of Washington were among the 330 that were formally invited to participate in the 2017 NFL Combine in Indianapolis later this month.
Seven players are from the University of Washington: safety Budda Baker, tight end Darrell Daniels, cornerbacks Sidney Jones and Kevin King, defensive tackle Elijah Qualls, wide receiver John Ross and outside linebacker JoJo Mathis. The group of seven Huskies are the most by the school this century, and only USC and Utah (eight) had more than the Huskies in the Pac-12 Conference.

Wide receivers Kendrick Bourne and Cooper Kupp will also be in Indy hailing from Eastern Washington University.
Some homegrown products that will be testing at the combine are Tacoma natives in Colorado quarterback Sefo Liufau and USC offensive tackle Zach Banner. Veradale native and Idaho kicker/punter Austin Rehkow was also invited.
The NFL Combine is set to take place Feb. 28 through March 6.Read
