Marshawn Lynch Greets The Seahawks In Oakland

Seahawks Legend Marshawn Lynch hosted several Seahawks at his Beast Mode store in Oakland before the team's preseason finale against the Raiders.

OAKLAND -- A popular destination for many Seahawks players, coaches, staff, and media during this week's road trip to the Bay Area was 811 Broadway, the site of Marshawn Lynch's Beast Mode Apparel store set up in the retired Seattle running back's hometown of Oakland.

It served as the first stop for several Seahawks off the plane Wednesday afternoon and others visited Thursday before the team's preseason finale against the Raiders, a game Seattle won, 23-21.

Lynch himself was on hand both Wednesday and Thursday, greeting old teammates, coaches, and friends - while also finding time to hand out free socks - at the door of his flagship retail space that opened earlier this year. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Lynch even greeted the team the night before Thursday's exhibition.

"He popped in last night and stopped by," Carroll said. "The guys had fun seeing him. The fact that his store's right around the corner from the hotel was great. It's a very classy place and a bunch of guys went by."

Carroll, though, didn't make it through. He already checked out the Beast Mode store this past June.

"Of course, I've already been there," he said. "So I didn't have to go back again."
