Friday Round-Up: Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin Gets Engaged

A daily link round-up of what's "out there" about your Seattle Seahawks.

!

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's out there for today – Friday, March 4 – about your Seattle Seahawks.

Congrats to Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin

Doug Baldwin followed up a record-setting season with an even bigger moment in the offseason, proposing to his girlfriend on Thursday.

Baldwin, who had a league-best 14 touchdowns last season, had tweeted "Matthew 3:16" each of the previous three days, apparently hinting at what was to come.

Baldwin is coming off the best season of his career and one of the most productive in Seahawks history, catching 78 passes for 1,069 yards and a team-record 14 touchdowns. Baldwin became Seattle's first 1,000-yard receiver since 2007, and one of just three Seahawks in history, along with Steve Largent and Joey Galloway, to have double-digit touchdowns and 1,000-plus receiving yards in a season. Baldwin's big season included a dominant late-season stretch in which he joined Hall of Famer Jerry Rice as the only receivers in NFL history to catch 10 touchdowns in a four-game span in one season.

Tweet of the day

Today's "Tweet of the Day" comes from the Seattle Mariners, who with one tweet started a long and often silly Gif exchange with the Seahawks, Sounders and Sea Gals.
