Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Monday, Oct. 5 - about your Seahawks (1-2) as they ready for tonight's Monday Night Football matchup with the Detroit Lions (0-3) at Seattle's CenturyLink Field, where kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. PT with national television coverage on ESPN.
Seahawks vs Lions Injury Update
In case you missed it on Sunday, the Seahawks ruled out running back Marshawn Lynch (hamstring) and defensive tackle Brandon Mebane (groin) for tonight's game against Detroit. Linebacker Bruce Irvin was also added to the team's injury report with an ankle injury and is listed as questionable for Monday.
The Lions, meanwhile, had DeAndre Levy (hip) listed as doubtful on their final practice report of the week, but according to ESPN.com's Michael Rothstein the star linebacker did not make the trip to Seattle, so he has been downgraded to out against the Seahawks. Levy, who last season led the NFL in solo tackles (117) and finished second in total tackles (151), has not played in a regular season game this year after suffering his injury during preseason play. Detroit has used fourth-year linebacker Josh Bynes in Levy's place to start the year.

King likes the Seahawks 23-16 tonight over the Lions, writing, "The news was all Marshawn, all the time in the Pacific Northwest, a week after the iconoclastic Marshawn Lynch was late coming out on the field for the start of the game against Chicago, a week after he strained a hamstring in the game, a week after he got dressed post-hamstring and watched the end of the game from a box upstairs, two days after coach Pete Carroll said he'd be a game-time decision, and now one day after Seattle declared him out for tonight's game. The Lions, who have monstrous problems of their own (that comes with making the playoffs one year and starting 0-3 the next), would be pretty embarrassed if a free-agent rookie from Central Michigan, Thomas Rawls, ran the Seahawks to victory tonight. Rawls and 34-year-old Fred Jackson will be the Seattle ground game with Lynch out. Either way, I like Seattle to get to 2-2."
