Seahawks, Safeway, Albertsons and Q13 Partner to Raise Money for Northwest Wildfire Relief

Fans invited to donate at all Safeway and Albertson's stores and at Seahawks game on September 3.

RENTON, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks, Safeway, Albertsons, and Q13 have joined forces to collect donations for communities directly impacted by wildfires.  The donations will go to charities that support the immediate relief and long-term recovery of those affected by wildfires in the Northwest.

Fans can contribute at any Safeway or Albertson statewide directly at the check stand.  Funds raised at the stores will be given to the Community Foundation of North Central Washington with 100% of the funds divided equally between Chelan Valley Wildfire Relief Fund and Okanogan Complex Relief.

On September 3, volunteers from Safeway and Albertsons will collect cash donations at all stadium gates and along Occidental Avenue through halftime of the Seahawks versus Raiders game at CenturyLink Field.  Fans can also donate at all stadium concessions stands in $1 increments.

All gameday donations will be allocated to the American Red Cross and split equally between Washington Wildfires Relief, providing resources exclusively for the State, and Western Wildfires Relief, supporting wildfire relief and recovery in the following states:  Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho and Montana.   The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation will match all donations collected at the game.

The four Seahawks retail locations have also begun to accept donations at check-out.  These donations will also be allocated to the American Red Cross and divided equally between the Washington Wildfires Relief and Western Wildfires Relief.  The Pro Shop retail stores are located at CenturyLink Field, downtown Seattle, Renton Landing and in Alderwood Mall.

Q13 will continue to share the latest information on how fans can help at Q13Fox.com or by following #WAWildfireRelief via social media.
