Marshawn Lynch to appear in Ludacris music video for 'Beast Mode' song

The Seattle running back inspired the Atlanta rapper's new single.

It's been well-documented that Marshawn Lynch prefers his beats to come from the Bay Area where he was born and raised. But he's been known to have an ear for rappers down south, too.

Count Atlanta-area actor and hip-hop artist Chris "Ludacris" Bridges as one southern-based MC that the Seahawks running back follows, and now shares a friendship with.

Bridges revealed as much during an interview with ESPN's His And Hers *on Wednesday, when he told hosts Michael Smith and Jemele Hill that a new single titled *Beast Mode from his upcoming album was influenced by No. 24.

"It was inspired by Marshawn Lynch," Bridges said of the song, which you can listen to right here (warning: explicit lyrics). "The same way he's plowing down people on the field, I'm plowing down people in the music industry and all these rappers. It's a song that has no hook, it's three minutes of just metaphors and just going in."

Ludacris, who's also starring in the next installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, said he recently wrapped up a music video shoot for Beast Mode that features Lynch himself.

"I met him and literally within like two minutes I felt like we were family," said Bridges. "I don't know what it is. He's real cool, real laid back guy. He was a fan. He was talking about how much his mom was a fan, so I told him I'm a fan of his.

"We inspire each other. That's why it was great for us to get together. When everybody sees the video you'll think it's a great, great concept to put these two things together - music and football."

Ludacris' album, *Ludaversal, *drops on March 31. The *Beast Mode *music video has yet to be released.
