Wednesday Practice Report: Pete Carroll Anticipates K.J. Wright, Ed Dickson To Play For Seahawks at Lions

Coming off the Week 7 bye, Seattle head coach Pete Carroll feels his club is the healthiest its been all season heading into this week's matchup with the Detroit Lions.

With a week of rest under their belt following the bye, the Seahawks head into Sunday's road matchup with the Detroit Lions feeling the healthiest they have all year, Seattle head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday, with linebacker K.J. Wright (knee), tight end Ed Dickson (quadriceps), defensive end Rasheem Green (ankle), and more all practicing to open Week 8.

"Yeah, it does feel like that," Carroll said. "Getting K.J. to come back and Ed Dickson is practicing too. Rasheem coming back out for us, a number of guys also just feeling a little bit better just because of the way that the games have gone the past few weeks. We are in pretty good shape."

Carroll added that he anticipates both Wright and Dickson, who have missed the first six games of the regular season to injury, to be able to play this week in Detroit.

"I'm anticipating that (K.J.'s) going to play, and Ed as well," Carroll said. "Something's going to have to come off where they don't respond to the practice work that they've had, but it looks like they're ready to go."

Wright, Dickson, and Green, who has missed Seattle's past three games to injury, were all limited participants in Wednesday's workout. Tight end Nick Vannett (back), whose injury landed him on the inactive list for the Seahawks in Week 6 against the Raiders, was also limited Wednesday, as was guard D.J. Fluker (knee), running back Rashaad Penny (finger), cornerback Neiko Thorpe (illness), and defensive end Dion Jordan (knee).

On Jordan, who has missed two of the Seahawks' past three games to injury, Carroll added: "He's the best he's been in a while too, so it's good to have him. He's had that knee issue that we've always worked with and the break helps him."

Defensive tackle Jarran Reed (illness) was the only player to not participate in Wednesday's practice for the Seahawks.
