When the Seahawks put out their final injury report of the week, what might have been most significant were the names not listed.
Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney (core) and cornerback Shaquill Griffin (hamstring) have both missed the past two games, but neither were listed with a game-day designation on Friday's injury report, confirmation that they're good to go for Sunday's game against the 49ers that will decide the NFC West title.
"That's huge," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. "It's a huge deal. I mean, our top cover guy and a top rusher. That's a big deal. It's great to have those guys back out."
Less certain is the status of safety Quandre Diggs, who is dealing with a high-ankle sprain sustained in Seattle's Week 15 win in Arizona. Diggs is listed as questionable, and ran the past couple of days, Carroll said, but did not practice during the week.
"He ran both yesterday and today," Carroll said. "There are a couple miraculous opportunities coming up before Sunday, so we'll see what happens."
Also questionable is offensive lineman Ethan Pocic, who has a core injury. Two players have been ruled out, left tackle Duane Brown, who is recovering from knee surgery, and receiver Malik Turner, who sustained a concussion in last week's game. Carroll said Turner's absence should mean rookie John Ursua will be active for just the third time this season.
On Brown, who the Seahawks are hoping to get back at some point in the postseason depending on how long they keep playing, Carroll said,
"It's just getting rid of the swelling right now," Carroll said. "This should be a really quick recovery. How quick? We don't know that. But it will be a quick recovery overall. We'll just go week-to-week. The first thing you've got to do is get rid of the swelling so that he can get some mobility and all that. That's not quite there yet, but it's not supposed to be yet either. He's working hard at it. He's such a stud worker and so diligent about his habits. If anybody can get back, he will."
The 49ers will again be without starting defensive end Dee Ford due to quadriceps and hamstring injuries, while starting strong safety Jaquiski Tartt is doubtful due to a rib injury, and guard Mike Person is questionable due to a neck injury.
