Here's What The Future of Watching Football Could Look Like

Microsoft and the NFL released a video Tuesday depicting how its HoloLens mixed reality goggles could change the way fans watch football.

Watching football within the comfort of your own home could soon become a very different experience.

On Tuesday, Microsoft and the NFL released a video displaying a new concept for its HoloLens mixed reality goggles - the world's first fully untethered holographic computer - that would give fans more ways to enjoy the game, with action extending from your existing screen to your entire living room through 3-D displays, player stats, fantasy scores, instant replays, and more.

The YouTube clip above is worth a watch, if only because the promo features plenty of fun Seahawks-related sequences. If you're a developer, Microsoft encourages you to apply for the HoloLens Development Edition, which expects to ship its $3,000 units in the first quarter of this year.
