Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril is off to Haiti for the second-straight offseason.

Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril and supporters of the Cliff Avril Family Foundation, including teammate Michael Bennett and former Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch, arrived in Haiti on Wednesday, April 19 and spent the day visiting God's Plan Orphanage, Sport of Hope, and more.

Avril Begins Journey To Haiti

Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril has started his second consecutive offseason trip to the country of Haiti. 

Avril, who is of Haitian descent, began his departure alongside teammate Michael Bennett and is soon expected to be joined by Marshawn Lynch, Stephen Tulloch, Gosder Cherilus, and Ledger Douzable. 

Throughout his trip, Avril and his foundation, The Cliff Avril Family Foundation, will be beginning the groundbreaking of a new school building, creating life-changing homes to withstand natural disasters, hosting a camp for youth in the country and more. At the beginning of the 2016 season, Avril pledged to build a home in Haiti for every sack he recorded following the damage of Hurricane Matthew.
